Air that may be contaminated with viruses is led past powerful UV-C radiation sources by means of fans. For the RZB CARE products, the exact speed at which the fans must operate in order to achieve an effective disinfection performance has been determined in cooperation with external test institutes and laboratories.
Radiation can be generated by both conventional and LED sources. We are using conventional radiation sources for the time being, as they are significantly more efficient than LEDs.

The units were tested both in our in-house laboratories and at the VDE. The focus was on technical safety, but of course also on the effectiveness of the units.
In the case of products that disinfect the air exclusively with UV-C radiation, the UV-C lamp must be replaced approx. every 9,000 hours. Some products use HEPA filters in addition to the UV-C radiation source. Such filters must be replaced approximately every 5,000 hours. RZB CARE does not offer a direct "assembly and installation service". However, most of the units are designed in such a way that assembly and commissioning do not require the help of a specialist. According to the "plug-and-play" principle, after unpacking the product, usually only the plug has to be plugged into the socket and the device is ready for operation.
